Watchmen review: Watchmen is about retired vigilantes who are called back to duty because of the death of an associate, and was notable for being the first of many graphic novels that show that comics aren't just for children. The movie doesn't hurt that reputation. I can give it a good grade, but other types of people would say otherwise, such as:

Moore Whores: They hate the idea of a movie version, as, to Alan Moore, it is the hell spawn from the trenches of El Diablo. Most of them didn't see it yet anyway, the helpless dicks.

Absolutists: They love the movie for it's theatrical play-out and special effects (watching Billy Crudup explode is awesome. So is seeing Jackie Earle Haley explode). They are in an endless war to make it Dark Knight successful.

Midgrounders: Me. We read, we saw, we liked. That's it. Nice movie with a good cast. Could have done better if it weren't so gory, but, what can you do.

Anyway, here are my grades:

Cultural success: A-
Hollywood success: B
Special Effects: A+
Storyline: A
Cast: C+
Progression: B- (It's fucking long)

Total: B+; Samuel L. Jackson as Doctor Manhatten could have fixed it

Being up at 2:53 sucks. I'm tired as hell and I can't sleep. Maybe putting the laptop away would help.

Everyone should read "Allan!", an autobiographical comic of a high school senior.

Yo Andy!

If you could, please let everyone know why I've been out. I have a sinus infection that worked it's way into my bronchial tubes (basically bronchitis I think is what the doctor said.) I might be back in two days, or over a week. So if we're gaming this week, I might not be able to make it.

Listen, I don't hate you.

I DESPISE you.
